The INBACKNX3K00000 gateway by Intesis (HMS Networks) is a high-performance solution engineered to enable bidirectional communication between BACnet/IP and KNX TP systems. With support for up to 3000 datapoints, this gateway is ideal for complex and large-scale building automation projects where reliable protocol translation is essential.

Acting as a BACnet/IP Server, the gateway exposes KNX group addresses as BACnet objects, allowing full access to read and write operations. It enables building management systems (BMS), SCADA platforms, and other BACnet clients to fully integrate KNX installations — including lights, HVAC, shutters, sensors, and more — within a unified automation environment.

The COV (Change of Value) subscription support significantly improves system responsiveness by allowing BACnet clients to be automatically updated when changes occur in the KNX network. This greatly reduces network traffic and latency in time-critical systems.

Configuration is flexible and user-friendly. Users can access a web-based interface for setup and diagnostics, or use the RS232 console port for firmware upgrades and manual configuration.
