IM003GB (PadPuls M2V) is a battery-powered two-channel M-Bus pulse collector designed to integrate meters equipped with pulse outputs or S0 interfaces into M-Bus-based metering systems. The device enables connection of up to two pulse-output meters in installations where power supply from the M-Bus line is unavailable or insufficient.

Operating principle

IM003GB counts pulses generated by connected meters and provides the data via the M-Bus protocol. Each channel has its own primary and secondary M-Bus address, enabling independent readout of both meters. Data communication complies with EN 1434-3, with automatic baud rate detection.

Tariff mode and billing functions

In tariff mode, pulses from a single meter can be accumulated separately for primary and secondary tariffs. Tariff switching is performed using an external signal, for example from a utility control system. The integrated real-time clock allows automatic storage of billing values without the need for additional software.
