Industrial KNX to Modbus converters
In this section of our shop you will find converters from the KNX interface to Modbus TCP or RTU. KNX is a communication protocol used in industrial automation (mainly building automation) for, among other things, communication with air conditioning, heating, lighting, but also temperature sensors, control of blinds, light switches, actuators or alarms. The converters allow the integration of all KNX devices into a Modbus TCP or RTU network (e.g. control systems, controllers, SCADA system or BMS).
Learn more about our KNX to Modbus converters
The KNX to Modbus converters available in our range offer a wide supply voltage range of 12-35VDC or a battery range of 24VAC, easy DIN rail mounting, resistance to electromagnetic interference and the ability to be installed in harsh environments with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The industrial design and specification of the converters guarantees long, trouble-free operation of the gateways on site and allows them to be installed both in freezing temperatures and in cabinets that generate significant heat.
Our KNX to Modbus converters are devices that support KNX, Ethernet (RJ45 connector for Modbus TCP programming and communication) and RS-232 and RS-485 (screw connectors for Modbus RTU communication) ports. Thanks to the free software included with each unit, the converters are very easy to configure and do not require any additional licences. Depending on the model, the converters are limited in the number of variables that can be mapped. ADFweb converters are limited to 1440 bytes in read and write, while Intesis gateways are divided into models according to the number of variables supported. On the Modbus side, the converters can act as both Modbus master and Modbus slave, depending on the version. All converters are compatible with the ETS software.
