The HD674-A007-4-E4V is a rugged industrial converter designed to enable communication between PROFINET controllers and Modbus Slave devices via RS485. This device is ideal for applications in harsh or mobile environments, where durability, electrical isolation and resistance to vibrations are critical. Its solid metal enclosure and triple galvanic isolation ensure secure and interference-free operation, even in installations subject to strong EMI and temperature fluctuations.
The converter features 4kV triple isolation between PROFINET, Modbus, and power lines, protecting the system from voltage spikes, surges, and ground loops. It integrates a dedicated microcontroller to ensure reliable data handling, protocol consistency, and low-latency operation. The solution fits seamlessly into automation systems for railway, automotive, marine, or energy sectors requiring robust, protocol-bridging communication.
Two variants are available: IP65 version (suffix V) with coated PCB for dust resistance and IP67 version (suffix R) with full resin encapsulation for waterproof protection and EMC immunity. The operating temperature range of -40°C to +105°C meets automotive-grade requirements. The converter can be installed in any orientation with its four mounting lugs or attached using metal hose clamps. Available connectors include Mini-Fit® or Superseal 1.5 for flexible integration.

- Define communication parameters for the RS485 Modbus Slave side
- Set PROFINET address, data size, and mapping rules
- Perform firmware updates via serial or Ethernet interface
