Industrial BACnet MSTP slave to RS-485 Modbus slave converter, housing type A (slim), DIN rail mount.

HD67672 allows you to connect a BACnet Master (for example a Supervisory System, etc) with a Modbus Master (for example a PLC, HMI, etc) in order to exchange the informations between the networks. Converter is easy to configure thanks to free SW67672 software. The device operates as a BACnet MSTP slave and as a RS-485 Modbus slave, enabling data sharing between two independent master devices. This unique role makes the converter a valuable tool in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Industrial Automation Systems (IAS), where BACnet supervisory controllers often need to communicate with Modbus-based PLCs or HMIs. By bridging these protocols, HD67672 reduces integration complexity and ensures interoperability in multi-vendor environments.

Configuration:

Thanks to the SW67672 software on your PC you can:

  • Define the parameters of BACnet line
  • Define the parameters of Modbus line
  • Define BACnet objects that contains the data sent by the Master Modbus
  • Define BACnet objects that contains the data to sent to the Master Modbus
  • Update the device
The SW67672 configuration software makes it possible to map Modbus registers directly into BACnet objects. This allows a BACnet Master to read data from a RS-485 Modbus slave and simultaneously makes the Modbus Master able to access points defined in the BACnet network. The software provides a user-friendly interface, simplifying complex tasks such as object creation, addressing, and diagnostic checks. The ability to update the device firmware via the same tool ensures long-term support and adaptability.

Characteristics:

  • Up to 2048 BACnet objects (Read+Write)
  • Triple isolation between BACnet - Power Supply, BACnet - Modbus, Power Supply - Modbus
  • Bi-directional information exchange between BACnet bus and Modbus bus
  • Mountable on 35mm Rail DIN
The converter is designed for professional use in automation environments. Its triple galvanic isolation ensures system safety, protecting both BACnet and Modbus devices as well as the power supply from interference or electrical surges. With support for up to 2048 BACnet objects, the HD67672 is suitable for advanced installations requiring large amounts of data exchange. The slim housing type A allows for efficient use of space inside control cabinets, making it ideal for retrofit projects or compact installations.
