The HD67848-B2 is an industrial-grade converter that allows the integration of DALI lighting systems with PROFINET-based industrial networks, such as those controlled by Siemens PLCs. It ensures smooth and reliable data exchange between building automation devices and factory control systems, enabling centralized control of lighting infrastructure via industrial automation platforms.

This converter supports up to 64 DALI devices on a single bus and allows full configuration of DALI groups, scenes, and addressing. The device is housed in a robust Type B wide housing suitable for DIN rail mounting, ideal for control cabinets in industrial environments. With full bidirectional communication and low-latency response, it provides fast and synchronized control between the DALI and PROFINET layers.

The HD67848-B2 includes galvanic isolation between the power supply, Ethernet interface, and the DALI line, protecting the system from electrical disturbances. In addition, the HD67848-B2-N version includes additional isolation between power and DALI lines, making it ideal for critical environments. Thanks to the included SW67848 and DALI Console software, configuration is simple and flexible for both automation engineers and facility managers.

Thanks to the "DALI Console" software on your PC you can:

• Configure the DALI network and perform addressing of up to 64 devices
• Setup scenes, groups, device identifiers, and operating parameters
• Perform diagnostics and test live DALI communication

Thanks to the SW67848 configuration tool you can:

• Define the DALI parameters, timing and signal options
• Set the PROFINET interface options and upload GSDML configuration
• Update device firmware and save reusable configuration files

Both software tools are included free of charge and support Windows-based systems.
