The HD67911-A1 is a robust and compact converter designed to integrate HART field devices such as transmitters, sensors, and actuators into PROFIBUS DP networks. It enables plant operators and automation engineers to monitor and control HART-enabled instruments directly from systems like SIEMENS PLCs or SCADA platforms, simplifying maintenance and improving operational efficiency. Its slim DIN rail mountable design makes it ideal for use in control cabinets with limited space.

On the HART side, the HD67911-A1 can manage up to 15 HART devices plus one secondary master, ensuring broad compatibility for industrial applications. It supports HART FSK Master communication combined with 4..20mA analog input, making it an excellent choice for process automation environments where both analog and digital data from field devices are needed. This dual capability simplifies wiring, reduces installation costs, and offers a seamless migration path from analog to digital control systems.

With its PROFIBUS DPV0 support, the converter operates as a PROFIBUS slave device, capable of transferring critical process variables, diagnostics, and configuration data between the networks. The device’s rugged construction allows it to operate reliably in harsh industrial conditions, including environments with high vibration, electrical noise, or extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to +85°C.

Installation is simple thanks to the slim housing type A and DIN rail mounting. The PROFIBUS connection is made via a D-Sub 9 female connector, while the HART side uses a 2-way 5mm terminal block. An additional 24V DC power supply can be provided for HART devices directly through the converter, eliminating the need for external loop power sources in many installations.
