Functioning simultaneously as a Modbus Master and a built-in MQTT Broker, the converter polls RS485 devices, processes data and publishes it as MQTT topics, enabling seamless integration with industrial automation, energy monitoring, HVAC/BMS and telemetry systems. The combination of LAN + LTE SIM + eSIM ensures high availability, making the device suitable for sites without wired infrastructure or those requiring robust backup communication.

With a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and flexible AC/DC power supply (8…24 V AC or 12…35 V DC), the converter is designed for demanding industrial and outdoor environments.

How the HD67C04-5-G43-E-VPN-B2 Works

As a Modbus Master, the device continuously reads registers from RS485 field equipment, such as PLCs, energy meters, HVAC controllers and industrial sensors. The collected information is then converted into structured MQTT messages and distributed through the integrated MQTT Broker to IoT platforms, SCADA systems or cloud environments. Two-way communication enables MQTT values to be written back into Modbus registers when required.

The integrated VPN service secures the entire communication path, ensuring that data exchanged between remote installations and control systems is fully encrypted. With both LTE SIM and eSIM support, the converter guarantees uninterrupted connectivity even in mobile, remote or infrastructure-limited locations.
