HD67C17-G43-VPN-B2 is an industrial communication converter designed to securely integrate J1939-based CAN networks with modern IoT platforms, SCADA systems and cloud infrastructures using the MQTT Broker communication model. The device enables reliable and encrypted data exchange between J1939 networks and Ethernet or cellular LTE infrastructures.

The G43-VPN variant combines LAN and LTE connectivity with an integrated VPN service, providing an additional layer of cybersecurity for remote and distributed installations. This makes the converter particularly suitable for mobile machinery, vehicle fleets, industrial equipment and critical infrastructures where secure data transmission over public networks is required.

Communication on the J1939 side is handled via a CAN interface with data rates up to 1 Mbps, while MQTT communication is performed through the RJ45 Ethernet interface with 10/100 Base-T Autosensing as well as via LTE. Galvanic isolation between Ethernet and the power supply enhances resistance to electromagnetic interference and improves overall operational safety.

The device is housed in a compact B2 Modulbox enclosure designed for mounting on a DIN 35 mm rail. It supports operation in harsh industrial environments with an extended temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. Compact dimensions of 70 × 60 × 95 mm allow installation inside space-limited control cabinets.
