HD67E02-5-A1 is an industrial protocol converter designed to integrate EtherCAT Slave networks with devices communicating using Modbus RTU Slave over RS485. The device enables reliable and deterministic data exchange between modern EtherCAT-based control systems and classic Modbus RTU networks using the RS485 serial bus.
The converter operates as an EtherCAT Slave node, providing process data to the EtherCAT Master PLC, while simultaneously acting as a Modbus RTU Slave device on the RS485 interface. This architecture allows existing Modbus RTU installations to be seamlessly integrated into EtherCAT systems without changes to the controller configuration.
The HD67E02-5-A1 model is equipped with two RJ45 Ethernet ports featuring an internal EtherCAT switch that enables EtherCAT input and output connection within the same network line. The Modbus RTU interface is implemented via a 3-pin 5 mm terminal block supporting RS485 communication, ensuring stable data transmission over longer distances.
Thanks to its industrial-grade design and high environmental resistance, the converter operates reliably over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. The use of industrial components ensures stable long-term operation in demanding automation and infrastructure environments.
Device configuration is performed using the dedicated SW67E02 software. The tool enables configuration of EtherCAT and Modbus RTU parameters, data mapping, and preparation of the device for operation within the target control system.
