INBACMEB0200100 is an industrial communication gateway from the Intesis BACnet Server – M-Bus series, designed to integrate M-Bus metering networks into BACnet/IP building automation systems. The device acts as a BACnet Server, providing full two-way data exchange between M-Bus meters and BMS or SCADA systems. The gateway supports up to 20 M-Bus meters and 500 M-Bus data points, which can be mapped to 500 BACnet objects within the virtual BACnet device. It also supports up to 1000 COV subscriptions for efficient data monitoring without continuous polling.
The INBACMEB0200100 includes a built-in M-Bus level converter, eliminating the need for external hardware. The M-Bus line is powered directly at 36 VDC, providing stable communication with electricity, water, and heat meters from multiple manufacturers. Both primary and secondary addressing are supported, with selectable baud rates from 300 to 9600 bps (default 2400 bps). This ensures compatibility with diverse metering infrastructures while maintaining reliable data acquisition.
Configuration and monitoring are performed via Intesis MAPS software, which enables automatic M-Bus line scanning, meter discovery, and template import/export for quick setup. Users can define individual timeout values, select continuous or on-demand polling modes, and trigger meter reads directly from BACnet control points. Diagnostic signals provide information about bus activity and communication errors, ensuring clear visibility of system status and network reliability during operation.
The device is equipped with a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port supporting BACnet/IP communication (UDP port 47808). DHCP is active for the first 30 seconds after power-up, after which the default IP address 192.168.100.246 is used. Acting as a BACnet Server compliant with Building Controller profiles, the gateway is fully interoperable with modern BMS architectures. The compact PC UL94 V-0 enclosure allows DIN EN60715 TH35 or wall mounting, while the low-power 24 VDC ±10 % supply (5.2 W typical) ensures efficient, maintenance-free operation in control panels.
