How do industrial controllers work?

Industrial controllers Industrial controllers are versatile control devices equipped with industrial interfaces and protocols specific to the industry in which they operate, such as BACnet, Profibus, Modbus or M-Bus in building automation. Controllers can operate continuously, constantly controlling processes and performing other essential tasks for years without having to be replaced.
