Repeaters RS485 | RS485 separators
RSeparators RS485 are used to protect devices connected to the RS-485 bus against surges and electrical discharges caused, for example, by harsh weather conditions or the presence of machines generating electromagnetic waves. RS-485 repeaters are used to regenerate and amplify the strength of the RS-485 signal, allowing data to be transmitted over longer distances without loss of quality and to connect more than the standard number of receivers.

The devices available in our range are characterised by a wide voltage range from 12-35VDC or 24VAC battery power, a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 75°C, opto-isolation up to 3000VDC, DIN-rail mounting, overvoltage protection and the possibility to increase the number of end devices on the bus up to 128 receivers. Depending on the model, RS485 repeaters and RS485 separators have a metal or plastic housing, and their design and industrial specification guarantee long, reliable operation, as evidenced by up to a 5-year warranty on some products.
We offer RS485 repeaters and RS485 separators in plug-and-play versions, which are characterised by automatic detection of the transmission interface and of the speed and direction of the data flow, as well as configurable versions that allow, among other things, the connection of two buses. Among other things, they allow two RS-485 buses with different communication parameters to be connected together, including transmission speed, parity or stop bits.
Repeaters RS485 allow the length of the bus to be significantly extended and more end receivers to be connected, with the principle that the higher the transmission speed, the lower the length of the bus. By default, at 9.6kbs the maximum transmission distance is 1,200m, while at 11,200kbs it is only 400m. We offer repeaters that are suitable for Modbus, BACnet, PROFIBUS, etc.
The RS485 separators available in our range even offer three-way opto-isolation up to 3000V and excellent ESD protection, which guarantees the safety of all devices plugged into the bus.
