Panasonic ECOi and PACi air conditioner communication module for BACnet interface.

The IntesisBox INBACPAN001R000 interface is designed to integrate Panasonic ECOi and PACi air conditioning systems into building automation environments using BACnet (BACnet IP or BACnet MS/TP). It provides a clean, BMS-friendly way to expose HVAC functions as BACnet objects, so the AC system can be supervised and controlled alongside the rest of the building infrastructure.

The gateway supports bi-directional operation: it enables BMS-level control of key HVAC functions (such as operating mode, fan speed and temperature setpoint), and also returns feedback from the indoor unit. In practice, this means the BMS can react not only to user commands, but also to faults, alarms and selected internal variables, improving both comfort supervision and service visibility.

Commissioning is intentionally straightforward. INBACPAN001R000 can be installed and configured in a short time by wiring the gateway to the AC system and setting the required parameters using DIP switches. No dedicated configuration software and no external power supply are required. The device also includes a network interface for convenient monitoring and control of the connected indoor unit, and for setting IP network parameters directly from the same interface.
