The IntesisBox INKNXPAN001A000 (or PAW-AW-KNX-H according to Panasonic reference) enables fully bi-directional communication with Panasonic Aquarea H Air-to-Water systems from KNX installations.
INKNXPAN001A000 is an integration gateway designed to connect Panasonic Aquarea H Air-to-Water systems to building automation based on KNX TP1 (EIB). With true bi-directional communication, the gateway allows KNX not only to send commands (e.g., operating mode changes, setpoints), but also to receive feedback about operating status, alarms, and selected internal parameters. This makes the A2W system a native part of KNX logic: wall panels, schedules, scenes, and interaction with sensors and heating zones.

The gateway is connected directly to the indoor Hydro unit via a dedicated connector and special cable (included). On the automation side, it communicates over KNX and provides control of key operating functions while also enabling monitoring of faults and alarms. This is particularly important where the building automation system must react to abnormal states, enforce priorities, or coordinate A2W operation with other subsystems—for example PV-driven logic, time-of-use tariffs, outdoor temperature strategies, or zone demands.
Integration is configured in ETS, allowing KNX designers to map Panasonic Aquarea points to KNX objects in a structured, predictable way. As a result, Aquarea becomes controllable from the same KNX user interfaces and logic as lighting, shading, ventilation, and other building functions.
