The HD67716-IP-A1 is a high-performance industrial protocol converter designed to enable communication between a BACnet/IP master network and a PROFIBUS DPV0 master. Acting as a BACnet master and PROFIBUS slave, the device ensures bidirectional data exchange between building automation systems and industrial PLCs. It is especially useful for integrating HVAC or BMS devices with legacy PROFIBUS-based industrial infrastructure such as Siemens S7 PLCs. The converter supports up to 512 BACnet objects in reading and 512 in writing, offering advanced data handling capabilities and extensive flexibility in defining datapoints. This allows for accurate control, monitoring, and system supervision through both BACnet and PROFIBUS. With its compact DIN-rail mountable design and triple galvanic isolation (BACnet–Power, PROFIBUS–Power, BACnet–PROFIBUS), the HD67716-IP-A1 guarantees safe and reliable operation even in demanding industrial conditions. Its wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C makes it suitable for harsh environments.
Configuration:
Using the free SW67716 software, configuration is quick and intuitive:
- Define BACnet/IP settings, including IP address, port, and object mapping
- Set PROFIBUS parameters such as slave address and baud rate
- Create and manage BACnet objects to be read or written via PROFIBUS
- Upload configuration and firmware to the device
