The HD67090-B2-169MHz-0 converter is a professional industrial gateway designed to integrate wireless M-Bus meters with PROFINET networks. It allows direct communication between devices such as energy meters, water meters, heating controllers or sensors that use wireless M-Bus (with manufacturers including Engelmann, Amber-Wireless, Maddalena, Siemens, etc.) and automation systems based on PROFINET (such as Siemens PLC controllers or SCADA systems). With support for up to 32 M-Bus wireless slaves, the converter is perfectly suited for small and medium-scale industrial and building automation projects.

One of the key advantages of the HD67090-B2-169MHz-0 is its robust industrial design. The wide housing (type B) ensures easier cabling, and the device can be easily mounted on a DIN 35mm rail, making it ideal for installation inside control cabinets. It is designed to operate reliably under extreme temperature conditions, from -40°C up to +85°C, which allows deployment both in heated technical rooms and in outdoor distribution boxes exposed to frost or high summer temperatures. Communication is carried out via a dedicated SMA antenna port for wireless M-Bus at the 169 MHz frequency, providing stable long-range communication with field devices, and an Ethernet RJ45 connector for PROFINET networks. The integration is further simplified by SCAN&DECODE software, which automatically detects M-Bus receivers and decodes telegrams, eliminating the need for manual frame analysis or vendor-specific documentation. This means that commissioning is reduced to just a few steps, ensuring fast deployment and trouble-free setup even in large multi-device installations.

The gateway also implements triple isolation between communication and power sections, providing additional safety and reliability in environments exposed to electromagnetic interference (EMI). Its low-profile, wide housing is designed for minimal power consumption, although it supports up to 30W peak during start-up. The unit is widely used in energy monitoring systems, industrial facilities, district heating networks, smart buildings, and utilities, where secure integration between wireless metering infrastructure and Ethernet-based industrial controllers is required.
