HD67090-B2-169MHz-20 is a professional MBus Wireless & wired M-Bus to PROFINET gateway built for building and industrial automation. It bridges up to 32 wireless M-Bus slaves and up to 20 wired M-Bus slaves to PROFINET controllers (e.g., Siemens PLC, SCADA, BMS), making it ideal for hybrid sites where both meter types coexist—heat, water, gas, electricity meters and environmental sensors.

Operating in the 169 MHz band, the unit provides excellent link budget and indoor penetration for European deployments. The SMA female RF connector lets you position an antenna suited to site conditions, while the RJ45 (10/100 Base-T autosensing) port connects directly to PROFINET network segments. On the metering side, it combines a wMBus N1/N2 interface with a wired M-Bus Master (5 mm terminal block, up to 38,400 bit/s), so you can read legacy wired meters and newer wireless devices from one converter.

The wide housing type B and DIN-rail mounting simplify panel integration, while the extended temperature range of −40 °C to +85 °C supports harsh environments such as outdoor enclosures or hot technical rooms. Power is supplied via a screw terminal (18…35 VDC or 15…21 VAC); allow for a brief 30 W inrush at startup when sizing power supplies and UPS lines.

Commissioning is accelerated by SCAN&DECODE: the companion tool automatically scans the (w)MBus network and decodes telegram registers, removing the need for vendor-specific frame analysis. In practice this delivers faster deployment, minimal manual mapping and fewer configuration errors—especially valuable on sites with dozens of meters feeding a single PROFINET controller.

Typical use cases include sub-metering in commercial buildings, district heating networks, campus utilities, and industrial energy dashboards. By collecting readings over wireless and wired M-Bus and publishing them to PROFINET, you can trend consumption, create alarms and run optimization logic directly in the PLC/SCADA—without replacing existing metering infrastructure.

HD67090-B2-169MHz-20 allow to monitor some MBus Wireless meters (like Engelmann, Amber-Wireless, Maddalena, Siemens, etc.) with a PROFINET net (like a Siemens PLC, etc). Converter is easy to install and configure thanks to free software SW67090.
