The HD67502 allows seamless conversion between CANopen and Modbus RTU protocols, enabling reliable integration of CANopen devices into Modbus-based supervisory systems. With support for up to 64 RPDO and 32 TPDO, this converter is designed for projects requiring a high number of data objects. One of its strengths is the ability to select from five different Modbus protocol types: Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, JBUS, Binary and ASCII. This flexibility makes the HD67502 suitable for a wide range of applications in industrial automation, building management systems (BMS), transport and energy monitoring.

The device is housed in a slim type A enclosure, ideal for DIN rail cabinets where installation space is limited. Despite its compact dimensions, the HD67502 offers full electrical isolation between buses, ensuring stable and interference-free operation even in electrically noisy environments. It is also designed for reliable performance in harsh conditions, with an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.

Thanks to the free SW67502 configuration software, users can:
  • Define that the SDO of CANopen are accessible from Modbus
  • Configure update rules for SDO in CANopen from Modbus
  • Make EMCY objects available from Modbus
  • Filter which EMCY messages generated in CANopen are transferred
  • Define which and how PDO of CANopen are accessible from Modbus
  • Update device configuration with new parameters
  • Save, duplicate, modify and export project configurations
The intuitive software interface simplifies the mapping between CANopen objects and Modbus registers, reducing commissioning time and minimizing configuration errors. This makes the HD67502 an excellent choice for both experienced integrators and engineers new to CANopen-Modbus interoperability.
