INMBSOCP0010100 – Industrial Gateway for OCPP 1.6 EV Chargers to Modbus RTU & TCP Integration. 

The INMBSOCP0010100 gateway enables seamless communication between OCPP 1.6-compliant EV chargers and Modbus-based industrial systems, including both RTU and TCP variants. Designed for robust integration scenarios, this solution supports up to 1 charging point with 7 individual connectors, making it ideal for advanced energy management systems and smart BMS applications.

Thanks to its bidirectional communication engine and native support for OCPP 1.6 JSON, the device can act either as a standalone Central System (CS) or operate under an external OCPP CS. This flexibility ensures smooth integration into both new and existing infrastructures. Communication with Modbus controllers or PLCs is simple and fast, thanks to the fixed Modbus register map and fully configurable data types and baud rates.

The configuration is handled using the user-friendly Intesis MAPS software, which allows the installer to import/export project templates and adapt communication parameters to project-specific requirements. OCPP scanning tools built into the device allow for automatic charger discovery, speeding up setup and reducing commissioning time significantly.

In BMS Central System mode, supported operations include Authorize, Remote Start/Stop Transaction, Reservation, Local List Management, Smart Charging, Heartbeat and MeterValues. When connected to an external CS, the device can still provide important feedback such as Charger status, availability and energy metering values.

With its compact DIN-rail housing, the gateway is suitable for installation in any industrial cabinet or electric vehicle charging station infrastructure. It is particularly valuable for system integrators looking to implement EV charging into existing Modbus BMS or SCADA systems without relying on cloud-based OCPP solutions.
