Converters from CANbus to Modbus RTU or TCP
In this section of our shop you will find converters from the CANbus interface (CAN 2. 0A, CAN 2.0B and CANopen) to Modbus RTU or TCP. CANbus is the communication bus most commonly used in the automotive industry and in the control of motors, sensors, controllers and recording systems. Converters allow CAN devices such as temperature sensors in heating systems to be integrated into a Modbus RTU/TCP network (e.g. with a PLC, SCADA system or HMI panel).
Learn more about our CAN to Modbus converters
Each CANbus to Modbus converter in our range features easy DIN rail mounting, resistance to electromagnetic interference and the possibility of installation in outdoor boxes and environments with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C (or -40°C to 105°C for the automotive version). Thanks to their industrial design, the converters can be installed both inside hot control cabinets or motors and in external boxes exposed to frost.
Our CAN to Modbus converters, depending on the model, allow communication with Modbus master (e.g. HMI panel) and Modbus slave devices. The converters are designed to support standard CAN 2.0, RS-485 (screw connectors) and Ethernet to RJ45 ports. For the most demanding applications, we offer an automotive version of the converters, which have triple 4kV insulation between all ports and a reinforced IP67-rated housing. Thanks to the free software included with each device, CAN to Modbus converters are very easy and quick to configure.
