Industrial remote Modbus RTU (RS-485) controller with in-built GSM modem.

The EM-486 provides access to readings from connected sensors and Modbus registers of devices connected via RS-485 interface via Modbus TCP protocol or via SMS text messages.

The EM-486 includes:

  • Flexible connectivity options (wired and wireless, automatic communication with the server, automatic or manual setting of GSM service provider and communication parameters, MAC address override and other Ethernet settings)
  • Access protection (password for configuration mode, IP address filter for configuration of connection to Modbus network, connection only with indicated server with automatic authorization, password for SMS control)
  • Various modes of exchange via Modbus (RTU, ASCII, parity, a wide range of transmission speeds)
  • Programmable outputs for actions in case of emergency events
  • Programmable inputs for sensors
  • Programmable pulse counters for each sensor
  • Power supply for sensors
  • Backup power supply input
  • Service functions (real time clock, firmware upgrade)
