The HD67B72-A1 is an industrial-grade converter designed to connect PROFINET master devices (such as Siemens PLCs or industrial PCs) with PROFIBUS slave devices like sensors, actuators, and remote I/Os. This converter acts as a PROFIBUS DPV0 slave and enables seamless communication in mixed protocol environments without requiring significant infrastructure changes. It supports up to 1500 bytes of data exchange in each direction—PROFINET to PROFIBUS and vice versa—allowing efficient and reliable integration even in data-intensive applications. Thanks to its industrial design, it is ideal for use in manufacturing, processing, energy, logistics, and building automation environments. The device includes triple galvanic isolation between PROFIBUS, PROFINET, and power supply, ensuring stable operation in harsh environments with high electromagnetic interference or variable ground potentials.

Configuration is made easy with the SW67B72 software, available free of charge. The software interface allows for quick setup of both PROFINET and PROFIBUS communication parameters, mapping of data blocks, and firmware updates. Engineers can easily integrate the converter into existing installations without complex programming or custom code. The HD67B72-A1 features two RJ45 ports for PROFINET communication, enabling daisy-chaining or easy integration into switched networks, and a D-SUB9 female connector for PROFIBUS. It supports up to 12 Mbps PROFIBUS data rates and 100 Mbps Ethernet with autosensing for seamless compatibility with modern systems. Its compact form factor and DIN rail mounting make it ideal for control panels or distributed field enclosures. The device is also well suited for retrofit projects, allowing the reuse of PROFIBUS field devices with PROFINET-based PLCs and SCADA platforms.
