HD67E03-A1 is an industrial protocol converter designed to integrate EtherCAT Slave networks with devices communicating using Modbus TCP Master. The device enables deterministic data exchange between EtherCAT-based control systems and distributed Ethernet devices operating with Modbus TCP.
The converter operates as an EtherCAT Slave node, providing process data directly to the EtherCAT Master PLC, while simultaneously acting as a Modbus TCP Master that actively reads from and writes to multiple Modbus TCP Slave devices within the Ethernet network.
The HD67E03-A1 model is equipped with four RJ45 Ethernet ports. Two ports are dedicated to EtherCAT communication (input and output via an internal switch), while the remaining ports are used for Modbus TCP communication. This design allows flexible network topologies and direct connection of multiple Ethernet devices.
The converter provides triple electrical isolation between the EtherCAT network, the Modbus TCP Ethernet network, and the power supply, significantly increasing system safety and immunity to electromagnetic interference. The device is designed for reliable operation in harsh industrial environments within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
Device configuration is performed using the dedicated SW67E03 software. The tool allows configuration of EtherCAT parameters, definition of Modbus TCP read and write requests, data mapping, and generation of the ESI file required for EtherCAT Master configuration.
