HD67E04-A1 is an industrial protocol converter designed for direct integration of EtherCAT networks with systems based on Modbus TCP. The device operates simultaneously as an EtherCAT Slave and a Modbus TCP Slave, providing deterministic and stable data exchange between these two communication technologies.
The converter exposes process data to the EtherCAT Master controller while at the same time making the same data available on the Ethernet network as Modbus TCP Slave registers. This architecture is ideal for applications where modern EtherCAT-based control systems must be connected to SCADA, HMI, or other supervisory systems using Modbus TCP.
The HD67E04-A1 model is equipped with four RJ45 Ethernet ports. Two ports are used for EtherCAT communication (input and output via an internal EtherCAT switch), while the remaining ports are dedicated to Modbus TCP communication. This design allows flexible network topologies and direct connection of multiple Ethernet devices.
According to the manufacturer documentation, the converter provides triple electrical isolation between the EtherCAT network, the Modbus TCP Ethernet network, and the power supply, significantly increasing system reliability in industrial environments. The device is designed for continuous operation in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
Device configuration is performed using the dedicated SW67E04 software. The tool allows configuration of EtherCAT parameters, Modbus TCP mapping, and generation of the ESI file required for integration with the EtherCAT Master system.
