HD67G13-MSTP-B2 – BACnet MSTP Master and HTTP/REST Client integration.
HD67G13-MSTP-B2 is an industrial BACnet MSTP Master / HTTP/REST Client converter by ADFweb, designed to integrate building automation devices and systems based on BACnet MSTP with applications, servers and platforms communicating through HTTP/REST. On the BACnet side, the device operates as a BACnet MSTP Master, so it can be used for communication with building automation devices working in this standard. On the web communication side, the converter works as an HTTP/REST Client, allowing data to be sent to higher-level systems, IIoT applications, reporting servers or integration platforms using REST architecture. The HD67G13-MSTP-B2 model is a wired version equipped with 1 Ethernet RJ45 port, without LTE module, eSIM or VPN service. This makes it suitable for installations where communication between BACnet MSTP automation and an HTTP/REST system is handled locally through a stable wired infrastructure.
BACnet MSTP Master / HTTP/REST Client converter for BMS and HVAC systems
HD67G13-MSTP-B2 enables BACnet MSTP communication to be connected with systems using data exchange through HTTP/REST. In practice, this means that data from building automation devices can be collected, processed and transferred to a web-based environment. The converter can be used to integrate HVAC controllers, regulators, meters, I/O modules, measuring devices, BMS installations and other technical infrastructure elements operating in the BACnet MSTP standard. On the application side, data can be sent to an HTTP/REST server, reporting system, cloud platform, telemetry solution or custom software prepared for a specific installation. This solution is particularly useful when modernizing facilities where existing BACnet MSTP devices must be connected to a newer IT architecture. Instead of building an additional intermediate layer on an industrial computer, a dedicated gateway can be used, with the communication logic configured directly in the device.
BACnet MSTP Master and HTTP/REST Client communication
The HD67G13-MSTP-B2 operates on the automation side as a BACnet MSTP Master and on the external system side as an HTTP/REST Client. This architecture is useful when data from a BACnet MSTP installation has to be actively sent to a REST server or supervisory application, instead of remaining available only in the local automation layer. The device has 1 Ethernet RJ45 port used for HTTP/REST communication and configuration. According to the variant data, the BACnet connector and the HTTP/REST connector are implemented as RJ45, while the data rate for both BACnet and HTTP/REST is 10/100 Base-T Autosensing. The converter is intended for installation in automation cabinets, technical switchboards and BMS integration points. The type B Modulbox 4M housing is suitable for 35 mm DIN rail mounting, making it easier to install the device in an organized way next to power supplies, controllers and communication modules.
BACnet MSTP data mapping to HTTP/REST communication
One of the key advantages of HD67G13-MSTP-B2 is the possibility to organize data exchange between the BACnet MSTP layer and the HTTP/REST communication structure. In a typical installation, the converter can handle data from BACnet MSTP devices and then transfer it to an HTTP/REST server in a way that matches the requirements of the receiving application. Such data may include temperatures, humidity, device operating states, alarms, regulator statuses, counter values, process parameters, input module signals or diagnostic information. On the HTTP/REST Client side, the device allows communication to be prepared for the specific data structure used by the higher-level system. This is especially important in projects where data from BMS or HVAC systems must be transferred to analytics tools, service applications, maintenance systems or cloud solutions. As a result, HD67G13-MSTP-B2 helps connect classic building automation with a modern application layer.

Configuration and diagnostics
The HD67G13-MSTP-B2 converter is configured using SW67G13 software. The program allows the user to prepare communication parameters on the BACnet MSTP Master side and on the HTTP/REST Client side, and then upload the configuration to the device. This allows the user to define how data is exchanged between the BACnet MSTP network and the system receiving data through HTTP/REST. The software is intended to run in an MS Windows environment. ADFweb diagnostic tools can be used to find the device in the network and check its IP address. This approach simplifies gateway commissioning in automation cabinets, communication testing and later service support of the installation.
ADFweb provides technical support for its devices and access to documentation and configuration tools for the corresponding product family. The product is covered by the manufacturer’s standard warranty, and service procedures are handled according to ADFweb support and return policy.
