HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 – BACnet IP Slave and HTTP/REST Client integration with SIM LTE.

HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 is an industrial converter by ADFweb designed to integrate building automation systems operating in the BACnet IP standard with applications, servers and services using HTTP/REST communication. On the automation side, the device operates as a BACnet IP Slave, making data available as BACnet objects for a supervisory BACnet IP Master system. On the web communication side, the model operates as an HTTP/REST Client, which means it can communicate with defined HTTP/REST servers, perform requests and transfer data according to the project configuration. The HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 variant is equipped with LAN + SIM LTE connectivity, so it can operate both in a local Ethernet infrastructure and in installations requiring cellular transmission. This model does not include eSIM or VPN service, so it is intended for deployments where an RJ45 port, a physical SIM LTE card and BACnet IP Slave / HTTP/REST Client communication in one gateway are required.

BACnet IP Slave converter with HTTP/REST Client, LAN and SIM LTE

HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 enables a BACnet IP system to be connected with servers and applications using HTTP/REST communication. In practice, this allows data to be transferred between the building automation layer and a web environment, service application, reporting platform, analytics system or IIoT solution. On the BACnet side, the device behaves as a BACnet IP Slave, so it can be visible to the supervisory BMS as a device with objects intended for reading and writing. On the HTTP/REST side, the converter operates as a client that communicates with previously configured servers and endpoints. SIM LTE connectivity extends the application range of the device in distributed points, telemetry cabinets, technical facilities and installations without permanent access to a wired plant network. As a result, HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 simplifies the integration of classic building automation systems with a modern HTTP/REST communication layer.

BACnet IP Slave, Ethernet RJ45, HTTP/REST Client and LTE module

The HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 uses 1 Ethernet RJ45 port for BACnet IP communication, HTTP/REST communication and device configuration. The Ethernet interface supports 10/100 Base-T Autosensing, allowing operation in typical technical networks used in building and industrial automation. The manufacturer documentation indicates that the Ethernet port is used for programming the device, HTTP/REST communication and BACnet communication. For Ethernet connection, at least a Category 5E cable compliant with T568 wiring standards is recommended, with a maximum cable length of 100 m. The G43 version uses an LTE module with a slot for a physical Micro-SIM card, while the antenna connector is SMA Female. The converter also provides electrical isolation between Ethernet and Power Supply, increasing operating stability in technical environments and reducing the impact of disturbances typical for automation installations.

HTTP/REST Client communication with servers and endpoints

An important function of HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 is communication with HTTP/REST servers through configured endpoints. In the configuration software, the user can define HTTP/REST servers, URLs, request methods, headers, parameters, timeout, template type and payload structure. The device can handle communication using GET and POST requests, while data transmission can be performed cyclically, on value change or based on a command from the BACnet layer. In LTE variants, it is also possible to define mobile connection parameters such as PIN, APN, username, password and mobile network type. This allows HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 to be used not only in local LAN installations, but also in distributed applications where BACnet IP data must be transferred to an external HTTP/REST server over a cellular network. This architecture is suitable for technical monitoring, reporting systems, remote data reading and integration with web applications.

HTTP/REST data mapping to BACnet IP objects

HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 allows HTTP/REST communication data to be linked with objects available on the BACnet IP side. Depending on the configuration, data can be read from HTTP/REST and made available to BACnet, or written from the BACnet side and transferred to an HTTP/REST server. The HD67G15 series manual describes a template mechanism where data can be linked to the internal memory of the device using formats such as unsigned integer, signed integer, float, binary, string, hexadecimal and Base64. On the BACnet side, the user can define objects available for reading and writing, data position in memory, length, engineering units and byte order parameters. The software can also generate an EDE file for the BACnet Master system, which simplifies implementation in a BMS environment. This allows HD67G15-IP-G43-B2 to flexibly adapt HTTP/REST data structures to the requirements of a BACnet IP system.
