Industrial expansion module, 16 digital inputs on Modbus RTU, with RS485 interface.
The module communicates with all commercially available PLCs, devices that support the popular MODBUS MASTER protocol. The module has 16 digital inputs with counter option. In addition, the IN1 and IN2 and IN3 and IN4 terminals can be used to connect two encoders. All inputs are isolated from logic using optocouplers. Each channel can be individually configured in one of several modes.
This module is connected to the RS485 bus via two wire twisted pair. Communication is made using the MODBUS RTU or MODBUS ASCII protocol. The use of a 32-bit ARM core processor provides fast data processing and fast communication. The transmission speed is configurable from 2400 to 115200.
