IN701KNX1000000 is a communication gateway from the Intesis 700series, designed to integrate KNX TP networks with Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet/IP and MS/TP, and ASCII-based systems. Supporting up to 100 communication points, it is an ideal solution for small to medium BMS projects. By combining multiple protocols in a single device, system integrators can reduce hardware requirements, simplify architecture, and lower project costs. The gateway operates as a server on Modbus and BACnet sides and as a client in reverse modes, providing high flexibility in building automation designs.
Configuration is carried out using the intuitive Intesis MAPS software, which provides project templates, object mapping, diagnostics, and communication monitoring. Import/export functions enable fast replication of configurations across multiple sites. The device also supports late configuration, allowing protocol changes during operation without replacing hardware. Advanced diagnostic tools and status LEDs help ensure quick commissioning and efficient maintenance. This flexibility makes the gateway suitable both for new installations and for retrofitting existing systems.
The compact enclosure makes it easy to install inside electrical panels – it is designed for DIN rail EN60715 TH35 mounting. Power is supplied with 24 VDC ±10% or 24 VAC, and all ports feature galvanic isolation for secure operation. Integrated interfaces include Ethernet, RS-232, RS-485 and KNX, with additional support for ASCII over serial and TCP/IP communication.
