The INMBSACA004I000 gateway from Intesis provides bi-directional communication between Bosch Commercial and VRF air conditioning systems and Modbus RTU networks over RS-485. It allows you to connect up to four indoor units to any Modbus-based BMS or automation platform, enabling full control and status monitoring of HVAC equipment through a standardized communication protocol.
This Modbus RTU interface operates as a slave device, ensuring compatibility with most PLCs and BMS controllers available on the market. Configuration is done either via onboard DIP switches or remotely over Modbus RTU, allowing for fast and flexible setup. Its compact design and DIN rail, wall, or in-unit mounting options make it ideal for a wide range of HVAC applications.
One of the standout features is the ability to maintain simultaneous control of the indoor unit using both the IR remote and Modbus RTU, without conflict. Additionally, the window contact function enables energy-saving strategies by automatically turning off the AC unit when windows are open — a useful feature for reducing HVAC operational costs in commercial buildings.
Via Modbus RTU, users gain access to comprehensive control options: ON/OFF, mode selection, temperature setpoints, fan speed, louver position, and much more. The interface also exposes internal variables such as error codes, operational states, and a running hours counter to support preventive maintenance and filter replacement scheduling.
