The INMBSDAL0640200 is a high-performance DALI to Modbus gateway designed for industrial and building automation applications. It enables bidirectional control and monitoring of up to 64 DALI devices from a Modbus-based system, including BMS, SCADA platforms, and PLCs acting as Modbus Masters. With this device, DALI ballasts can become an integral part of a Modbus control network.
The gateway establishes a physical DALI channel with integrated bus power supply (15VDC, max. 250mA), allowing for complete DALI bus management, including address assignments, group configuration, maximum/minimum brightness levels, and more. All functionalities of the DALI ballasts are accessible from Modbus registers, making configuration and diagnostics straightforward.
Once configured, the INMBSDAL0640200 operates as a Modbus Slave (Server), exposing internal registers over Modbus TCP/IP, RS232, or RS485. It allows full remote control and real-time monitoring of DALI devices, ensuring seamless interoperability with a wide range of industrial controllers and software platforms.
The gateway offers robust diagnostics capabilities including LED indicators for communication activity on all ports (Modbus RTU, Ethernet, DALI), DALI bus power status, and a DALI test button for quick field validation. It also features a dedicated console port for device configuration and firmware upgrades.
