The INSTCMBG0160000 gateway provides reliable and secure connectivity between BACnet or Modbus field devices and the ST Cloud Control platform. This industrial-grade gateway is designed to monitor and control up to 16 devices through intuitive web and mobile interfaces, offering seamless remote access for smart buildings, industrial automation, and energy management applications.

It supports three flexible communication modes: (1) as a BACnet IP Client, (2) as a BACnet MS/TP Master, or (3) as a Modbus RTU Master and Modbus TCP Client. Certified with the BTL mark, this gateway ensures complete interoperability with any BACnet-certified equipment, making it a future-proof solution for building and industrial networks.

On the Modbus side, you can configure up to five Modbus TCP nodes and connect multiple RTU devices. The device supports all major I/O function codes (1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 15x, 16x) and allows full customization of data length (1, 16, 32, 48, or 64 bits), data format (unsigned, signed, float, bitfield), and byte order (big or little endian). This ensures maximum compatibility with legacy and modern automation systems.

The entire setup is performed via the Intesis MAPS configuration software, which simplifies parameter mapping, device diagnostics, firmware upgrades, and network commissioning. Once the gateway is configured and assigned to a user in ST Cloud, the system automatically visualizes all connected devices and widgets in the dashboard – ready for real-time operation and remote supervision.
