Converter has a robust metal housing, resistant to vibration and shock, ensuring reliability even in harsh environments such as automotive, marine and railway applications. It integrates a triple galvanic isolation of 4000V between CANopen/RS485, CANopen/power supply and RS485/power supply, which provides maximum protection against surges and electromagnetic interference. Thanks to its IP67-rated enclosure with AMP SuperSeal 1.5 connectors, the device is fully dustproof and resistant to water ingress, making it suitable for outdoor or high-humidity installations.

This converter is particularly well-suited for industrial automation, automotive electronics, rail transport, energy distribution and other sectors where robust communication between CANopen and Modbus RTU is required. By acting as a Modbus RTU Master, it can manage multiple Modbus slave devices while simultaneously exchanging data with CANopen networks. Its strong design allows it to operate continuously in demanding conditions, ensuring stable communication and preventing data corruption.

The device can be mounted on any surface (horizontal, vertical or oblique) using the four integrated fixing lugs. In mobile or space-limited installations, it can also be secured using metal hose clamps, offering additional flexibility in mounting options. Its compact dimensions and lightweight (approx. 200 g) make it easy to install in control cabinets, vehicles or vessels without adding significant mechanical load.

The converter operates in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +105°C, fully compliant with AUTOMOTIVE industry requirements. It is therefore ideal for use in environments exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations, such as engine compartments, outdoor enclosures or industrial plants. The integrated microprocessor ensures precise control of data processing, guaranteeing reliable performance in mission-critical applications.

Thanks to the free SW67421 software on your PC you can:

• Define that the CANopen frame of the CANopen are reading from Modbus
• Define that the CANopen frame of the CANopen are writing from Modbus
• Update the device

The configuration interface is user-friendly, allowing integrators to map data points quickly and export configurations for duplication across multiple devices. This minimizes commissioning time and simplifies system integration.
