The switch is equipped with 8× Fast Ethernet 10/100 Mbps M12 (D-coded) ports and 4× Gigabit Ethernet M12 (X-coded) ports. Two Gigabit port pairs support a bypass function, ensuring uninterrupted data transmission in the event of power loss or device failure, which is critical for onboard transportation applications.

TNS5800B-8T4GT-P24 supports advanced network redundancy mechanisms, including Ring, ERPS and STP / RSTP / MSTP. These technologies enable highly available network topologies such as single ring, coupling ring, chain and dual-homing, ensuring fast network recovery and continuous operation.

The device provides comprehensive Layer 3 routing capabilities, including Static Routing, RIP, OSPF, VRRP, BGP and NAT. Advanced Layer 2 features are also supported, such as IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, QoS, IGMP Snooping, LLDP, port mirroring and broadcast storm protection, allowing flexible design of onboard Ethernet networks.

Comprehensive management and diagnostics are available via Web GUI, CLI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, SSH, HTTPS and Telnet. A built-in relay alarm output reports events such as port failure, power loss, temperature alarms or network errors, significantly simplifying system maintenance.

The switch supports key ITxPT-specific features, including Ignition Wake-up (power-on triggered by vehicle ignition), Delayed Shutdown (configurable power-off delay after ignition off), Inventory Service and ITxPT xStatus. The device is powered by 24 VDC (17–24 VDC) via an M12 connector with reverse polarity protection.

Its rugged IP67-rated metal housing, wall-mount design and wide operating temperature range of −40…75°C ensure reliable operation in the most demanding mobile and outdoor transportation environments.
