HD67G10-B2 connects Modbus TCP Master devices with HTTP/REST Server communication via Ethernet.
HD67G10-B2 is an industrial ADFweb converter designed to integrate systems using Modbus TCP Master with applications and services based on HTTP/REST communication in server mode. This model has been developed for environments where industrial Ethernet communication must be combined with modern data publishing for supervisory systems, web applications, software platforms and network services.
From an integration perspective, HD67G10-B2 acts as a stable bridge between the Modbus TCP Master side and the HTTP/REST side working as a server. This allows the device to be used in industrial automation, building systems, telemetry, technical monitoring and integration projects where data read from Modbus TCP devices must be made available through an HTTP/REST interface, while write commands coming from the HTTP/REST layer must be transferred to the Modbus TCP network.
The manufacturer confirms that the device provides electrical isolation between Ethernet and power supply, mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail, a wide power supply range of 12..35V DC / 8..24V AC and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. This specification makes the converter well suited for control cabinets and demanding industrial environments where stable operation, compact housing and simple installation matter.
The HD67G10-B2 model is equipped with 1 Ethernet RJ45 port, which is used for device programming, HTTP/REST communication and Modbus TCP communication. An important networking feature is the use of two different MAC addresses: one dedicated to the HTTP/REST side and one dedicated to the Modbus TCP side. This helps separate the two communication areas logically and simplifies integration in more advanced projects.
Communication on both the Modbus TCP side and the HTTP/REST side works in the 10/100 Base-T Autosensing standard. The manufacturer recommends using at least a Category 5E cable compliant with the T568 standard, and the maximum Ethernet cable length should not exceed 100 m. A straight cable is recommended for connection to a hub or switch, while a cross cable is recommended for direct connection to a PC.
The manual also explains the practical operation of the HTTP/REST layer. On the server side it is possible to define a list of accessible endpoints available to external applications using GET and POST methods. GET is used to read data coming from Modbus TCP, while POST is used to write data to Modbus TCP devices. The endpoint name is built from the fixed path /api/httpConverter/ and the custom endpoint name defined in the configuration.
The converter includes four LEDs that indicate the operating status of the device. The first LED shows device state, the second indicates Modbus TCP communication activity, the third indicates HTTP/REST communication activity and the fourth shows error status. In addition, the module is equipped with a Recovery button, which allows the device to enter recovery mode after a wrong firmware update or configuration issue, making service and restart easier.
Configuration is performed using SW67G10, which allows the user to define HTTP/REST parameters, Modbus TCP settings, the list of accessible endpoints on the HTTP/REST side and the list of Modbus TCP read and write requests. The software also allows username and password protection, selection of HTTP or HTTPS, loading of a custom TLS certificate and device update.
