HD67411-E4R is an advanced gateway designed to connect CAN bus networks with Modbus RTU Master systems, ensuring reliable and secure communication even in the harshest industrial environments. Thanks to its robust metal housing, resistant to shocks and vibrations, the device is particularly suitable for automotive applications, railways, marine installations, and industrial plants where mechanical stress and electrical disturbances are common.

The R-version of the device is fully resin encapsulated, providing protection level IP67. This guarantees complete resistance to dust, high humidity, and direct water exposure, while offering additional EMC shielding. This makes the converter an excellent choice for outdoor systems, mobile machinery, and heavy-duty industrial environments. For less demanding applications, the V-version with PCB coating is available, offering IP65 protection.

The HD67411 series can be mounted on any type of surface – horizontal, vertical, or inclined – using its four fixing lugs. For applications requiring extra rigidity, metal hose clamps can be used for installation without the standard mounting lugs. The E4R variant is equipped with Mini-Fit® connectors, which are widely used in industrial and automotive electronics due to their secure locking mechanism and resistance to vibrations. Other models in the same family are also available with SuperSeal 1.5® connectors, allowing integrators to select the most suitable option depending on cabling standards and environmental requirements.

The wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C ensures reliability in extreme conditions – from freezing outdoor installations to high-temperature engine compartments or industrial machinery enclosures. This specification meets the strict requirements of the automotive and transport sectors.

Configuration:

Using the free SW67411 software on your PC, you can:

• Define the CAN frames to be read and written by the converter
• Set the Modbus read/write requests
• Update the device firmware

The intuitive configuration tool allows engineers to easily map Modbus registers to CAN frames, making commissioning faster and ensuring seamless interoperability between legacy Modbus-based systems and modern CAN devices.
