HD67E51-2-A1 is an industrial protocol converter designed to integrate EtherCAT Master networks with devices communicating using Modbus RTU Master over RS232. The device enables centralized management of Modbus RTU communication from an EtherCAT-based control system, ensuring high performance and deterministic data exchange in industrial automation environments.

The converter operates as an EtherCAT Master, managing communication with other EtherCAT devices in the network, while simultaneously acting as a Modbus RTU Master on the RS232 serial interface. This architecture allows multiple Modbus RTU devices to be integrated into EtherCAT-based systems without the need for additional intermediate controllers.

The HD67E51-2-A1 model is equipped with two RJ45 Ethernet ports featuring an internal EtherCAT switch, enabling input and output EtherCAT connection within a single network line. The Modbus RTU interface is implemented via a 3-pin 5 mm terminal block supporting RS232 communication.
