HD67E52-2-A1 is an industrial protocol converter designed to integrate EtherCAT Master systems with devices operating as Modbus RTU Slave over RS232. The device enables centralized EtherCAT control while simultaneously exposing process data to Modbus RTU-based supervisory or control systems.
The converter operates as an EtherCAT Master, managing communication within the EtherCAT network, while at the same time acting as a Modbus RTU Slave on the RS232 interface. This architecture allows modern EtherCAT-based automation systems to be seamlessly integrated with applications where Modbus RTU is used for control, monitoring, or data acquisition.
The HD67E52-2-A1 model is equipped with two RJ45 Ethernet ports featuring an internal EtherCAT switch, enabling EtherCAT input and output connection within the same network line. The Modbus RTU interface is implemented via a 3-pin 5 mm terminal block supporting RS232 communication.
