HD67422-E4V – Industrial CANopen to Modbus RTU Slave Converter, IP65, 4kV Isolation

Industrial CANopen to Modbus RTU (RS485) slave converter, metal housing resistant to vibration and shock with triple 4kV isolation between CANopen/Modbus RTU Slave, CANopen/power supply and Modbus RTU Slave/power supply.

The HD67422-E4V is particularly suitable for installation in cars, trucks, trains, boats, and in demanding industrial automation environments where high resistance to mechanical stress, shocks, and vibrations is required. Thanks to its metal housing and robust design, the device ensures maximum durability and safety, while triple 4kV isolation guarantees secure separation between CANopen, Modbus RTU Slave and the power supply.

It is designed to operate in mission-critical systems where data exchange reliability is essential, providing seamless interoperability between CANopen devices and Modbus RTU masters such as PLCs, HMIs or SCADA systems.

Two product versions are available:

• Suffix V – PCB coating, offering IP65 protection against dust and industrial environments.
• Suffix R – resin encapsulation, providing IP67 protection, enhanced insulation and resistance to humidity and electromagnetic noise.

The E4V version is equipped with Mini-Fit® connectors, while Superseal 1.5 connectors are available for applications requiring increased sealing and vibration resistance, making it versatile for different installation needs.

The converter can be mounted on horizontal, vertical or inclined surfaces thanks to four fixing lugs. For transport and automotive applications, metal hose clamps may also be used for secure fastening without lugs.

Its wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C allows use in harsh environments such as engine compartments, railway applications, marine control systems and industrial automation facilities exposed to extreme thermal stress.

Thanks to the free SW67422 software you can:

• Define the list of SDOs and PDOs for reception and transmission
• Configure EMCY messages
• Set NodeGuarding parameters
• Define Modbus registers readable/writable by the Master
• Update the device firmware

This tool enables fast mapping of CANopen objects to Modbus registers, helping engineers simplify commissioning and integration processes in complex automation systems.
