Key switches are used to monitor the state of closing of covers such as: hinged, sliding doors, gates. When opening the cover, the key is removed from the switch causing forced opening of the contacts. Depending on the used architecture and the safety relay, the switches can be used in systems meeting the requirements of category 4, Ple and SIL3.
