In this section of our shop you will find Profibus signal repeaters, which are used to refresh the signal strength of devices communicating over the Profibus bus and read it over longer distances and with more end devices - used with wired Profibus networks. Repeaters additionally act as galvanic separation between the two sides of the bus.

Industrial Profibus repeaters from our range feature easy DIN rail mounting, immunity to electromagnetic interference, 10-30VDC power supply, energy-efficient design (power consumption down to 1W) and a wide operating temperature range from -25°C to 75°C, which allows both outdoor mounting exposed to frost and mounting inside control cabinets generating high operating temperatures.

The repeater is equipped with two Profibus DB9 ports and 3000VDC isolation. On the Profibus side, a transmission speed of up to 12Mb/s is supported, with automatic baud rate detection and a maximum communication distance of 1200m at 9.6kb/s. The device has no address and is transparent from the bus point of view. According to the Profibus specification, it allows up to 32 devices to be connected in one segment.
