Industrial CANopen to PROFIBUS slave converter, PROFIBUS DP DPV0 support, housing type A (slim), DIN rail mount. 

HD67551 is an industrial-grade protocol converter that allows communication between CANopen devices and a PROFIBUS DPV0 master, such as a Siemens PLC. This gateway is designed to act as a PROFIBUS slave, enabling bidirectional data exchange between the two networks. The device is ideal for applications where field-level CANopen devices (e.g., sensors, actuators, drives) need to be integrated into an existing PROFIBUS control system without reprogramming the PLC logic. The HD67551 provides stable and robust communication, making it a practical solution in industrial automation, building management systems, and energy monitoring.

The device supports up to 244 bytes in both reading and writing on the PROFIBUS side, which enables the transfer of large data blocks in real time. It supports both PDO producer/consumer and SDO client/server functionalities, allowing for full-featured CANopen integration. Advanced features such as Node Guarding, CANopen frame transmission, and dynamic PDO mapping are available through the free SW67551 configuration software. A built-in tool also allows you to generate a GSD file for easy integration with Siemens TIA Portal or STEP 7.

With galvanic isolation between the PROFIBUS and CANopen buses, the converter offers excellent protection against ground loops and electrical noise. This ensures long-term reliability in environments with strong electromagnetic interference. The supported transmission rates include up to 1 Mbps on CANopen and 12 Mbps on PROFIBUS, ensuring fast and responsive communication. The converter is enclosed in a slim Type A housing (23 mm width), making it suitable for compact installations. It can operate in extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +85 °C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor cabinets.
