The HD67552 is an industrial-grade gateway that seamlessly connects CAN networks (e.g., sensors, actuators, ECUs) to a PROFIBUS DPV0 master such as a Siemens PLC. Designed for environments where legacy CAN devices must interface with PROFIBUS-based control systems, it acts as a PROFIBUS slave while transparently forwarding CAN frames. This converter eliminates the need for rewriting PLC logic or deploying additional hardware modules. Supporting up to 244 bytes for both read and write operations on the PROFIBUS side, the HD67552 offers ample bandwidth for parameter sets, status words, and bulk data transfers. The device operates with a 1 Mbps CAN data rate, enabling high-speed interaction with multiple CAN nodes, and a 12 Mbps PROFIBUS rate for real-time control.
