HD67605-A1 is a compact and robust industrial converter that enables communication between PROFINET master devices (such as Siemens PLCs or industrial PCs) and PROFIBUS DP master systems. This device acts as a PROFIBUS slave, making it possible to integrate PROFINET-based automation components into existing PROFIBUS DP infrastructures without major system overhauls. Supporting up to 244 bytes in both read and write operations, the HD67605-A1 provides reliable and efficient bi-directional data exchange. It ensures compatibility with PROFIBUS DPV0 and offers seamless interoperability with a wide range of field devices in automation, such as I/O modules, drives, sensors, and other control units. Thanks to its rugged design, DIN rail mounting capability, and wide operating temperature range, the converter is well suited for demanding industrial environments including factory floors, processing plants, and energy systems.

Configuration of the HD67605-A1 is made simple with the included SW67605 configuration software, available free of charge. The intuitive interface allows users to define all communication parameters for both PROFINET and PROFIBUS sides, map data objects, and update the device firmware with just a few clicks. The converter features triple galvanic isolation between the PROFIBUS interface, the PROFINET interface, and the power supply. This provides superior electrical safety, reducing the risk of interference and ensuring stable operation even in electromagnetically noisy environments. It includes 2x RJ45 ports for PROFINET and 1x D-SUB9 female connector for PROFIBUS, enabling quick installation and flexible wiring. The built-in Ethernet autosensing supports 100 Mbps speeds, while PROFIBUS communication supports baud rates up to 12 Mbps.

The converter's small footprint (120 x 23 x 107 mm) and light weight (approx. 200g) make it ideal for space-constrained control cabinets. It can be powered with either 8–24VAC or 12–35VDC, offering flexibility for various industrial power systems. This device is ideal for machine retrofits, SCADA integration, energy automation, and hybrid fieldbus systems, enabling legacy PROFIBUS installations to benefit from modern PROFINET-based controllers and supervisory systems without changing existing field wiring.
