IN704DAL1280000 is an industrial communication gateway from the Intesis 700series Lighting Gateway, designed for seamless integration between DALI-2 lighting systems and Modbus TCP/RTU or BACnet/IP and BACnet MS/TP networks. It supports two independent DALI channels, each handling up to 64 devices, allowing a total of 128 ballasts, sensors, or controllers. The integrated DALI bus power supply (15 VDC, 250 mA per channel) removes the need for external supplies, simplifying installation and reducing costs. The gateway provides full bidirectional communication for lighting control, configuration of groups and scenes, and status monitoring directly from BMS or SCADA systems.

Supporting both Modbus TCP/RTU and BACnet IP/MS/TP protocols, the IN704DAL1280000 adapts flexibly to different building-automation architectures. The late configuration mode enables protocol selection or change even after commissioning, reducing hardware inventory and simplifying project management. Operating as a server on the Modbus or BACnet side, the device supports up to five simultaneous TCP connections, ensuring stable multi-system integration. The auto-discovery feature automatically detects all DALI devices and imports their registers, saving setup time and preventing configuration errors.

Configuration and diagnostics are performed using Intesis MAPS – an intuitive software environment for object mapping, project management, and live monitoring. Users can easily define groups, scenes, and lighting schedules, as well as supervise communication status in real time. MAPS also allows import and export of configuration templates for fast replication across multiple sites. Advanced diagnostics provide detailed information on bus voltage, communication quality, and device activity, while front-panel LED indicators display DALI, Ethernet, and RS-485 status at a glance.

The IN704DAL1280000 is housed in a compact, durable enclosure (90 × 106 × 58 mm) made of ABS UL94 V-0 flame-retardant material. It is designed for DIN rail EN60715 TH35 mounting and can also be wall-mounted if needed. The device operates with 24 VDC ±10 % and a maximum consumption of 17 W. All communication ports are galvanically isolated (1000 VDC) for safe and reliable operation in demanding environments. Compliance with DALI-2, BTL, CE and RoHS standards guarantees full interoperability and industrial reliability.
