The INBACMBM6000000 gateway from Intesis (HMS Networks) enables transparent, bidirectional integration of Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP slave devices into BACnet ecosystems supporting BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP. With capacity for up to 600 data points, it bridges legacy Modbus hardware—energy meters, HVAC controllers, PLCs, sensors—into a modern BACnet BMS or SCADA without additional converters.
Certified by BTL to the B-AAC (Advanced Application Controller) profile, the device guarantees seamless interoperability with professional BACnet controllers. Simultaneous RTU and TCP operation simplifies hybrid projects: serial field buses on RS-485 coexist with Ethernet-based Modbus devices, all exposed as standard BACnet objects.
Compact and robust, the unit features two isolated serial interfaces (Port A RS-485, Port B RS-485/RS-232) plus a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port. DIP-switches allow quick activation of 120 Ω termination and line polarisation. 1500 V DC galvanic isolation between ports protects against ground loops and industrial noise, ensuring reliable communication even in harsh electrical environments.
Installation is flexible: a wide 9–36 V DC or 24 V AC power range, DIN-rail or wall mounting, and flame-retardant UL 94 V-0 polycarbonate housing (IP20). On-board LEDs provide instant diagnostics for power, errors, Ethernet link/speed, and TX/RX activity on each serial port, speeding up commissioning and maintenance.
