The HD674-A007-2-E4V is a robust industrial protocol converter that connects PROFINET controllers to Modbus RTU Slave devices via RS232. Designed for harsh conditions, the device is equipped with a strong metal housing, a wide temperature range, and reinforced electrical protection. It ensures reliable communication and data integrity even in mobile or unstable environments such as vehicles, rail systems, and marine installations.
The unit offers triple galvanic isolation of 4kV between the power supply, PROFINET interface, and Modbus interface. This feature protects the system from ground loops, surges, and electromagnetic disturbances. Its integrated microcontroller monitors and processes all data transactions, ensuring deterministic behavior and consistent operation in critical control systems.
There are two versions available: version V with IP65 protection (PCB coating for dust resistance), and version R with IP67 encapsulated resin (resistant to humidity, corrosion, and EMI). The product supports flexible installation on various surfaces and comes with Mini-Fit® or optional Superseal 1.5 connectors. Its operating temperature of -40°C to +105°C meets automotive-grade standards, making it suitable for rolling stock, defense, and outdoor automation.
