Industrial RS485 to Profibus converters
In this section of our shop you will find converters from the RS485 to Profibus standard. The Profibus communication protocol is used in industrial control and automation for, among other things, communication with controllers (e.g. Siemens S7 series) or decentralised I/O devices. The converters allow the integration of devices with an RS-485 interface such as scales, cash registers, barcode readers or counters into a Profibus network.

Each RS-485 to Profibus converter available in our range features a wide voltage range from 12-35VDC or 24VAC battery, easy DIN rail mounting (TH35), resistance to electromagnetic interference and the possibility of installation in environments with a wide temperature range from -40°C to 85°C. This allows the converters to be installed at heavy machinery and in control cabinets with high operating temperatures as well as in outdoor boxes exposed to frost.
Our RS-485 to Profibus converters are devices comprehensively adapted to operate in diverse industrial conditions. They are designed to support RS-485 (screw connector) and Profibus (DB9 connector) type ports. The converters have 3000V isolation, support the Profibus DP V0 protocol with automatic transmission speeds of up to 12 Mbps on the Profibus DP side and 115200Kbps on the COM port side. Thanks to the free software included with each device, the converters are very easy and quick to configure and do not require additional licences. Once the communication parameters of the converter have been configured, the ADFweb software automatically creates a GSD file that can be imported in the Profibus controller.
