The INBACKNX1000000 gateway from Intesis (formerly known as IBOX-BAC-KNX) is an advanced integration solution enabling bidirectional communication between BACnet/IP systems and KNX TP installations. With support for up to 100 data points, it is ideal for scenarios where building automation platforms such as BMS or SCADA need direct access to monitor and control KNX devices like lights, thermostats, switches, or sensors.
This compact and powerful device acts as a BACnet/IP Server, exposing KNX datapoints as BACnet objects, and vice versa. It supports COV (Change of Value) subscriptions, allowing BACnet clients to receive real-time updates whenever a KNX variable changes. Through this abstraction layer, the gateway ensures seamless interoperability between protocols, allowing integrators to treat KNX devices as native BACnet equipment within their automation frameworks.
The integration is designed to be robust, simple, and reliable. Configuration can be done through the console port (RS232) or with dedicated tools, including firmware upgrades. The intuitive web-based interface allows for quick IP setup, diagnostics, and maintenance.
