KLIC-DI v2 integration of Daikin VRV and SKY air conditioning with KNX.

KLIC-DI v2 is a compact KNX gateway for Daikin air conditioning systems, designed for integration of VRV and SKY units with KNX building automation installations. The device provides bidirectional communication between the HVAC system and the KNX bus, so operating parameters can be monitored and controlled directly from the building management system.

KLIC-DI v2 is a practical solution for projects where stable integration, simple DIN rail installation and support for additional input signals are important. It fits commercial and technical applications in which Daikin HVAC equipment needs to work together with KNX push buttons, sensors and logic functions in a consistent and reliable way.

KLIC-DI v2 for Daikin HVAC integration with KNX

The gateway features an integrated KNX BCU TP1-256 and does not require an external power supply, as it is powered directly from the KNX bus. This simplifies installation and reduces the number of components needed inside the electrical cabinet. The device also offers data saving during KNX bus failure and data recovery after restart according to parameterisation, which increases the reliability of the overall control system.

Product features

  • bidirectional communication with Daikin HVAC units from the VRV and SKY ranges,
  • 2 analog/digital inputs for additional field signals,
  • 10 logic functions for more advanced KNX control scenarios,
  • data saving in case of KNX bus failure and recovery after restart,
  • integrated KNX BCU TP1-256,
  • DIN rail mounting according to IEC 60715 TH35,
  • compact housing with 2 DIN module width,
  • conformity with CE and RCM directives.

The two inputs can work with compatible accessories such as a dry contact, push button, sensor or NTC temperature probe. This means KLIC-DI v2 can be used not only as a communication interface, but also as a functional part of local KNX control logic. It is a useful option in applications where HVAC integration must be combined with signals from the surrounding installation.

Technical specification

Important installation notes

In systems with a wired remote control, the operating modes must be matched correctly: when KLIC-DI v2 works in master mode, the wired remote control must work in slave mode, and vice versa. For equipment using R-32 refrigerant gas, a wired remote control is mandatory and KLIC-DI v2 must operate in slave mode. These requirements should be taken into account during system design and commissioning.

If you are looking for a reliable way to integrate Daikin HVAC equipment with KNX, KLIC-DI v2 is a strong choice for applications that require stable communication, DIN rail installation and support for additional inputs in building automation systems.
